After a hectic week, we decided to go to a farm managed by Sazali’s family just outside of the city. It was GOOD to be back in the nature - time stood still for the first time since I arrived Malaysia. Coco and I sat under a gazebo made by tin and wood. Plants and trees surrounded us, kids swam in a man-made pool (a portable dam allowed the stream to raise its levels periodically), and men fished at a pond just across the stream. Coffee, fresh fish, noodles and noodle soup were served for lunch. Naturally, I avoided fish, but the hosts were kind enough to prepare yummy and fish-free noodles for me.

Rue why are you avoiding fish? I am so glad you get to experience the village.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't eat fish -- I dislike the taste or scent of fish in general based on two horrible experiences I had with fish in the past. The first one was when I was 12 years old in France and the second one was last year. :( I wish could be more "brave" while eating fish but I just couldn't stand it.
ReplyDeleteAWww RUE, u havent tasted the good and delicious and tasty one! I hope I will convince you to taste one! :) Some fishes are just exceptionally delicious! No words to describe!
